General Kaihura seems to have conceded to pressure as a Democratic Party leaders meeting was successfully held in Mukono without police interference. The meeting attended by a mammoth DP following from Mukono and allover the country was held Sunday at DP Mukono offices.
While addressing a press conference last Monday Buganda region DP president Nambooze Betty Bakireke warned police boss and embattled party leaders Mao/Mbidde to stop unleashing terror on party members meetings else she promised to sue each of them individually: READ: Nambooze launches DP campaign ‘reloaded’ warns Kayihura
Addressing the meeting Speaker after speaker they attacked Moa, Mbidde and Museveni as they announced launching “Making DP great again reloaded’ campaign
The team declared a battle for Buganda land which they vowed to run hand in hand with the campaigns. Mengo officials joined the meeting and explained to the people the Kyapa mu ngalo project.
Speaking at the occasion Nambooze called for unconditional admission of members who left the party but willing to return instead of Mao being proud of chasing members out of the party.
She Revealed plan to call Auditor general to audit DP specifically over 700million expenditure on re-branding.
She explained to the leaders the 6R’s and demonstrated why there is need to form an independent electoral commission in the party as a contestant cant be the electoral boss.
Nambooze further called for party elections by 2018 when Moa’s two terns expire and said she does not expect him to seek for reelection. She said she can only take up the position after restoring systems in the party
Nambooze further launched DP junior clubs for teenagers below 18years in Mukono with over 70 juveniles in Mukono.
Speaking on the same occasion Buganda regional NEC representative Deo Kijjumba rubished Nambooze’s suspension saying it NEC has no authority to chase or suspend anyone they didnt elect or nominate. He declared her next party President General
Also speaking at the occasion, Masaka Municipality member of parliament Mathias Nsubuga Nsamba said he is dedicated to the stuggle for which his voters voted him for:
“My voters in Masaka never voted me for NAADs or any government program, they voted me to fight their wars at national level”
He further castigated Mao for chasing bonefide party members yet he left DP to form party with Agrey Awori which he dumped joining UPC then back to DP.
Mpuuga said he is ready to deputize Nambooze and pledged his support through out the struggle to Make DP great again.
The Group resolves to move to all parts of Uganda starting with Buganda.
