Uganda Cranes drew 0-0 with Senegal in an international friendly played at the Leopard Sedar Seghor Stadium in Dakar on Monday night.

Senegal got off to a bright start with Salif Sane getting the better of debutant Moussa Wegue on a few occasions in the early minutes they almost found the opener in the 13th minute after some good combination play by Indrisa Gueye and Pape Ndiaye, but the latter opted to square the ball back instead of shooting in the area.

The Cranes played a good match but their slow build-up play often allowed the Senegalese defence to regroup and get numbers behind the ball.

Both Miya Faruku and Derrick Nsibambi missed  scoring opportunities inside the 8yard box but a mixture of good goalkeeping and poor finishing kept the scores level.

In the 44th minute Cranes keeper Benjamin Ochan made a fine save to deny Elb Khouma as he dived to his right to keep out the midfielder’s shot.

In second half Cranes dominated Senegal, but failed to penetrate their defense –

Juuko had a late chance to seal the game when Wasswa intercepted the ball from the goalkeeper, but he failed to shot into the net when it appeared easier to score. Wadada’s last minute header was tipped over the bar by keeper Pape Ndiaye.
