A concerned youth has written a letter to MPs from Western Uganda advising them to desist and even lead a campaign against removing term limits, he draws his reasoning from the past:

An Open Letter to MPs from Western Uganda
=============================

as the case was after the overthrow of Amin and Obote to the Northerners, all people from western Uganda will be collectively blamed for the shortcomings, excesses, omissions and commissions of the current regime in case there is a forceful change of government.

Dear Honourables,

RE: PRESIDENTIAL AGE LIMIT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This letter is particularly written for the members of parliament from Ankole, Kigezi, Tooro, Bunyoro, Rwenzori, Kisoro and Bunyoro sub regions.
As you know as well as I do, many Ugandans from other parts of the country regard you as one and can not differentiate between a munyankole and munyoro, for example.
Thus, as the case was after the overthrow of Amin and Obote to the Northerners, all people from western Uganda will be collectively blamed for the shortcomings, excesses, omissions and commissions of the current regime in case there is a forceful change of government.
The golden opportunity you have got to avert such an eventuality, is to leave article 102 in the constitution of Uganda.
Please leave the presidential age limit in the constitution so as to have a smooth transfer of power from one president to another.
Forewarned is forearmed.
For God and my beloved County- Uganda.
Yours faithfully
Prince Mbidde
